About Us

Gladtidings Interiors is a Black-Woman wholly-owned business which has been in existence since 2008. The company has a Level-1 BBBEE rating. Our focus is in Facilities Management entailing Cleaning, Catering, Space Planning Services, Laundry Services, Camp Management & Accommodation for onsite contractors during shutdowns .

The purpose of Facilities Management is to allow pressurised executive teams to concentrate on their core revenue- generating activities. Outsourcing your non-core activities to Gladtidings Interiors
curbs unnecessary costs and drastically improves bottom-lines.

Our Background

Our first business activity was running a carpet shop. In 2009 the founding member Minah Busangani Zulu, packed her corporate suite case and resigned from her full-time job to pursue her passion, full time. As she comes highly recommended in the industry,  the same year she is offered a managing director position by a community project, that runs a cleaning company for the then BHP Billiton company which incidentally was her former employer. 

Her skills, passion and dedication to the cleaning environment attributed to the success of the company as she secures a 3 year cleaning contract for the project and continues her fruitful journey for the 3 year duration of the contract.

Again, in 2012 she secures a cleaning contract with Anglo for 3 years which employed 9 employees initially and grow exponentially into 33 employees by 2016.

It was during these formative years that a desire to create employment for women was fuelled, mostly because of my own mother who was an office cleaner when I was growing up and I saw how she sacrificed for me to get a good education and be able to one day dream big enough to start a business. The business is legacy in her honour for women in similar circumstances.
Most households in our communities are run by single mothers and married women with absent fathers. Creating employment for women and mothers in the cleaning catering and interior design space, has become the vision and mission of the founder, Minah. In 2017 Gladtidings employ over 90 employees of which more than  80% is women.
